What is your specialty, what makes your work unique? Or place your artist's statement.

My work is about finding a serene place. I draw, write and compose music.
In my work I create an environment where I can feel at ease, like the drawings I made of the plants I have at home or my sweet cat I love to look at.
I adore the simple, ordinary things, you could say I even worship them. It is one of my rituals to observe ordinary things, to question their meaning and to give meaning to them.
The ordinary may be perceived as something uninteresting, dull even. Natural landscapes can be an example of something ordinary but they prove otherwise, they can be a background and unnoticeable, simultaneously it is a whole new world revealing itself when you pay attention to it. A world that was there all along yet to be discovered. My work starts with a search for serenity and safety, but essentially it arises after a feeling of agitation. This agitation drives me to look for beauty and peace, and presents it selves with what others sometimes call ‘electricity’. Electricity suggesting there’s more to it than you see.

What are your ambitions? What do you want to be in five years?

First of all I hope to be a lot wiser. I would love to be able to make a living out of creating art.
It would be great to meet other artists with common interests and maybe work together on a project.
I also would love to read more books about psychology and biology to integrate this further in my artistic practice.

What is the most important thing you have learned during your studies?

Art is something I want to feel. And I do not mean with my hands.
