In Ursa Minor, Meis and her companion Beer journey through a vast, poetic world. They find little altars along the way, and Meis trades small objects there. Where do their travels lead? And what could that strange, luminous deer that crosses their path have to do with it?
“Ursa Minor” aims to examine what adulthood means - how does it feel to grow older, what do we gain, what do we let go of, and what does it look like when we translate this mental journey to a literal one?
With this film, I also try to explore how to create a cohesive world, the borders of which reach beyond what you see on the screen: an environment that feels real, but not like the real world.
