Artist statement; wat is je specialisme, wat maakt jouw werk uniek?

Joost Voss studied game artist beforehand and with the skills he learned there he craves to explore those aspects of worldbuilding, mixed media, and Interactive play in his animations.
He also compares himself with a steam train in a fantasy world. Life has a lot of obstacles ahead but we have to prevent stopping at every turn we take.

Wat zijn je ambities? Wat wil je over vijf jaar bereikt hebben?

In five years I see myself learning from other artists but learning from my own ambition as well.
Life is too long to spend it only at work. There needs to be balance and that is what I want to search for. I want to keep improving in the best way so that my work can provide happiness all around the globe.

Wat is het belangrijkste dat je hebt geleerd tijdens je studie?

In the time that I went to school I learned a lot about myself, in which parts I needed to improve.
I took a lot of time learning the basic fundamentals and build my own foundation. A lot of times I found myself too easily swept off my feet but the last year I finally learned to take a stance for myself and to keep growing my foundation for the future.
