What is your specialty, what makes your work unique? Or place your artist's statement.

My work takes the future into consideration. Societal and technological trajectories motivate me to stay up to date with innovative topics and tools. I strive to bring new insights to give viewers a better understanding of complex present day or future topics. To accomplish this, I research these topics and experiment with different tools searching for the balance between robust communication and coherent aesthetics. Typography, 3D design and coding are the main tools I use in finding this balance.

What are your ambitions? What do you want to be in five years?

In 5 years, I hope to have positioned myself with a defined approach towards design, while still actively work in different design fields like environmental design, type design, editorial design and animation design. After graduating, I will work at Pentagram in New York. Pentagram allows me to further develop my own style and approach towards design while working in the variety of design fields that I’m interested in.

What is the most important thing you have learned during your studies?

HKU has motivated me to explore and learn about many different media and design fields. By doing so, I’ve been able to learn where my interests lie.
