What is your specialty, what makes your work unique? Or place your artist's statement.

As a filmmaker I like to keep things simple. In our world there is no shortage of noise. As a form protest I make my stories clear and my images minimalistic. I enjoy working for hours on a perfect composition with just the right amount of information. That also applies to my animations; I would like to tell as much as possible with just enough drawings. I like to animate snappy and I like to edit to music. Ultimately, my goal is to touch the viewer through simple and colorful images while I try to put as much of myself in my work.

What are your ambitions? What do you want to be in five years?

Over the next five years I will continue to develop myself creatively, while making commercial work and while making personal projects. I would like to be in a position where I can make art that is close to myself and creatively fulfilling while not limiting myself to just animation. I also want to develop myself in the field of illustration, live-action and acting. I want to be able to approach a project from as many different angles as possible and work interdisciplinary with interesting people.

What is the most important thing you have learned during your studies?

The most important lesson I learned during my study is that animation has countless forms and that there is no one-size-fits-all. As a designer you are in control of how to approach a story and there are no rules. Over the past four years I've learned to have more fun in the creative process. In addition, the work of my fellow students has motivated me to do more and to constantly improve myself.

Finally, my study has taught me to be more confident in the work that I make!
