What is your specialty, what makes your work unique? Or place your artist's statement.

I am a painter who is currently exploring obscuring details to a point that the image becomes universal. I do this by making quick small works, each one trying to get one step closer to the searched-for equilibrium of looking like something you know while not recognizing it.

What are your ambitions? What do you want to be in five years?

In five years I’d like to mostly live off of my work and have a studio in Amsterdam surrounded by other artists that can inspire me.

What is the most important thing you have learned during your studies?

At art school, I mostly learned constant self-reflection. That one work isn't a single project that is finished and done but a stepping stone in a continuous process.
