Artist statement; wat is je specialisme, wat maakt jouw werk uniek?

I am a drummer and an electronic music producer. I see myself as a producer more than a performer. I think I have a unique musical identity because of my jazz drums education combining with my interest into electronic music (techno) and my eastern roots.

Wat zijn je ambities? Wat wil je over vijf jaar bereikt hebben?

I would like to concentrate on my own projects in the coming five years. Release more music, play a lot and create a network. I love to teach, therefore I would like to have lots of students in the near future where I can transfer my knowledge to the young players. In music education, mentality is as important as technique, theory etc. I feel that I am very experienced in this area, so I will be able to help my students to keep their mental health positive and approach music in the way they like to do. My biggest goal is to move to Berlin in the next couple of years and improve myself in electronic music production and sound engineering.

Wat is het belangrijkste dat je hebt geleerd tijdens je studie?

The most important thing I learned during my studies is that music is all about expression. If I am able to express myself in my own unique way, while creating my own identity, I will consider myself as a succesfull musician.

I released an EP called "Chaos" in 2021 January. This was the debut EP for my alter ego guendes.
