Artist statement; wat is je specialisme, wat maakt jouw werk uniek?

From the beginning of my musical journey I was influenced by many artists who would advise musicians to find their own voice on their instrument instead of recycling what they heard other people doing. And that's something that has stuck with me and I strive to find my own voice on my instrument and in composition.

Wat zijn je ambities? Wat wil je over vijf jaar bereikt hebben?

I would like to have my own band where we write our own music and we play gigs regularly. I want to improve my composing and band-leading skills and I want to have a unique artistic statement.

Wat is het belangrijkste dat je hebt geleerd tijdens je studie?

Studying in a conservatory has made me aware of so many artists I would 've never come across if I wasn't interacting with my fellow students. My musical tastes and choices have changed significantly and for the better I would say.
