Do you recognize that feeling of
something telling you to do
something when you realize that
some things make no sense?
As a child I always tried to walk as much as possible on the white lines of the pedestrian crossing. It was a fun game but there was also another reason, if I wasn’t able to walk on the white lines, I was afraid that something bad would happen.
Sometimes I’m convinced that by performing a certain action I can prevent something unpleasant from happening. I am aware this action cannot affect the course of anything but I still find myself following my intuition over my deliberative thoughts in performing the act.
This project focuses on the balance between both having and losing control. Repetition, rhythms and the principle of cause and effect are its central themes.
