Rhythm is ontstaan door het samenvoegen van verschillende projecten die ik tijdens mijn studie op de HKU heb gedaan. Ik heb voornamelijk gewerkt met textiel en keramiek en bij beiden herhaalde ik steeds dezelfde techniek.
Hierin zag ik een rode draad, ‘herhaling’.
Voor mij betekent herhaling, ritme, regelmaat, de organische groei in de natuur en rust.
Dit stukje rust wil ik aan iedereen meegeven die mijn objecten ziet. De rust die je kan ervaren als je ernaar kijkt of aanraakt. Het organische ritme bij mensen thuis brengen.

Rhythm is found everywhere around us. In nature, daily habits, music.
The repeating growth of nature is what inspired me. By repeating the same element over and over it gave form to the chair.
Stackable ceramic objects made of porcelain and brass.
To me rhythm means having a piece of mind. This piece of mind I’m trying to express in my work bij mimicking the organic growth of nature.
The elements can be stacked and shaped to create your own ‘organic’ sculpture. And to create your own personal peace of mind.
