I often find motive for a work in my immediate environment. Utensils from my studio, pop music, observed street scenes and product packaging have a clearly visible influence on my practice. I often work from snapshots taken with my phone or short descriptions of what I see around me. By placing banal images in the context of an installation, the normal begins to feel abnormal and is asking to be questioned by the viewer.
My work stems from the attitude I have towards the world. I create my work with the same attitude with which I live my life. To me, creating a work equals starting an adventure.
